Distinguished Student Writing
As a reminder, we are again collecting student examples for the Distinguished Student Writing section on Hokieswrite. If you have papers that you wish to nominate, please follow the steps found here:

Canvas Shells
First, thanks to everyone who completed the UWP survey, as we received thoughtful and helpful feedback. One of the issues that emerged was that people, overall, no longer saw the need for Canvas shells to be provided each semester. I have therefore created a Canvas template, using the current Fall 2023 shell, for all the graduate students teaching in Spring 2024. If you would like to be added to this site, please email me. You would then just choose whatever you like from that template for your own Canvas site (noting, of course, that the dates would be from Fall 2023).
Teaching Blog
As a reminder, we have revived the teaching blog on Hokieswrite. Amanda McGlone has written a beautiful piece to restart the process, linked here: https://hokieswrite.com/teaching-blog/. If you have a pedagogical issue you’ve been wanting to write about/write “through,” please email me your submission. We’d like to publish a new entry approximately every two months.
UWP Social
Please keep an eye out on your email once we return from break as we’ll announce a plan for a social event for everyone teaching in the UWP.
