Fall Brown Bags: The two UWP Brown Bags this semester will be on Monday, October 6th and Monday, November 3rd in Shanks 370/380 at 12:15. On Monday, October 6th, our focus will be on workshopping terrible lesson plans (“Epic Fails, Lasting Lessons”), so bring your worst lesson plan ever (or, for a more positive approach, a topic you’ve always wanted to revitalize), and we’ll work through how you can revamp it.
UWP Supplies: The printer closets previously contained teaching supplies, including construction paper, large notepads, markers, colored pencils, etc. However, they seem to have been accidentally disposed of, so we’ll be placing an order to replace them very soon. Keep an eye out for the supplies in the next couple of weeks.
Everyone’s an Author: A new edition of Everyone’s an Author is coming out in Fall 2026. As the UWP committee thinks through our textbook process, please let me know if you have any questions or thoughts about the textbook and how it’s working in your classroom.
Assessment: The UWP will undergo a formal assessment this academic year. If you’re interested in assessment and participating in this process, please let me know.
