Brown Bags
First, thank you to everyone who came out to our Brown Bag on Wednesday, and special thanks to Patrick Greene, Julia Unger, and Amanda Marzolf, who provided terrific assignments for 1105 and 1106 using Everyone’s an Author.
If you couldn’t make it to the talk, I posted the Google Slides under the Everyone’s an Author tab on Hokieswrite.com.
Our last Brown Bag of the semester will be on Monday, November 4th at 12:15 in Shanks 380. In this session, we’ll check in about AI use in your classrooms and have a hands-on workshop where you’ll be able to play around with some of the tools, in addition to discussing the ethics of using AI and how we can use it for our own lesson planning.
Pathways
Jenna sent out an email in late September about the new Pathways process for those of you whose classes were selected for data collection this semester. We’ll check in as the semester ends if you have questions or concerns.
Hokieswrite.com and Hokies Spotlight
We added a new feature on the website this semester. If you have anything you’d like to share that relates to the UWP—a student’s accomplishments, a conference presentation, a new lesson plan that worked very well, etc.—please send it to me, and I’ll add it to the website. Please see the Hokies Spotlight tab and then the Teaching Blog link from the pull-down menu for some updates from your colleagues, and send me anything you’d like to highlight on the webpage!
